The facility itself is very nice and clean but one thing that they have to improve on is the food. I'm there most of the time they serve dinner and it smells and looks disgusting. It's bad enough that my mom has to be there but to submit her to eating the food I just can't take it. How can anyone serve food like that? I wouldn't even serve it to my dog. There are many ways to serve food for patients with diet restrictions and it doesn't look like that.
Went to visit my father-in-law and my husband forgot his drinking mug...few days later my son went to go see grandpa and seen one of the nurses with it...my son went up to the nurse and told her that it was my dad's mug, then she/he told him that there were lots to mugs like it over there, so he told the nurse that not it like his one cause my dad out tgat sticker and that cup handle on. Then the nurse was like we'll there's no name on it. Going to call and complain. So if you're going to have any family members going there do not bring any valuables or just bring home they're valuables.

The Physical Therapy team are not only very knowledgeable, but so kind & friendly. They are very empathetic with what you are going through. In just a short time you will find yourself trusting a very kind new friend.
I have been in Ka Punawai Ola for one week due to foot surgery. It is beautifully decorated & if you can be cordial & warm with the staff they will treat you the exact same way - The Nurses, Nurses Aides, Etc. are always concerned how you are & checking how you are & taking awesome care of you.
