Overall, Kapolei clinic is small but it is clean and it works. It is not overwhelmingly crowded. The cashier, pharmacy, and lab all share the same waiting area. There are maybe 10 seats or so? But they've never been completely filled so far.
I love all the nurses and employees at Kaiser Kapolei they're ALWAYS so friendly. Doctor Del Carmen is the awesome and is really genuine and truly cares about his patients. He good beyond what's expected of him and checks further into whatever issues my kids or myself have. He's not one of those doctors who just tells you to, "take one of these and call me in the morning"... that's why I don't care if it takes days to get an appointment with him... I'll wait... also he's always booked and busy so when I book appointments with him he's usually running behind on schedule but I'm totally ok with that because he actually takes the time to get to know you personally... he's not a pediatrician but my kids are under his care cause he's a superb doctor...
Stella the receptionist! does not explain anything. She needs more training if she doesn’t know how the system works. No need to be a receptionist if your customer service sucks. I give my all everyday at work when I come to a facility to get help, don’t not help cause your in the mood. Seems like she’s just sitting there waiting for a check then to actually help an assist.
However, my daughter sees a pediatrician at Kapolei clinic who is simply amazing, patient, friendly, and intelligent. Definitely will be keeping her and signing up future babies with her.
Staff in general there have been very kind.
I am a Kaiser member and I have been with my PCP in Mapunapuna clinic for many years now. I bought my own home in Makakilo and decided to switch PCPs to Kapolei clinic for convenience. However, I was unhappy with my new PCP, she always seemed rushed and not much of a people person. I eventually switched back to my old PCP in Mapunapuna.
