They were in such a hurry to get everything done A-LOT of our things are broken. Many things that were fragile were thrown into boxes with heavy things set a-top of them WITH NO PACKING material. Countless items arrived broken. Canvas art was stacked on top of one another with no barrier between each, when I unpacked them, the paintings were stuck together and all of them dented/indented with the canvas stretched and ruined, to include a painting that was old and precious to me. I have no doubt that this company will be sloppy and careless with your treasured items. Do not trust them to get your items to their destination in one piece. We have been doing this for 20 years and NEVER have so many items arrived broken, mangled and mishandled. I would give them negative stars if it were possible. They do not deserve even one. I advise you to seek a different moving company!
Perfect example of waste of government money. We have been pushed off two days now. Called the office, "oh they haven't came into work yet." Nothing can be done. Horrible horrible company.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. We had had the disservice of being assigned to work with Covan for our PCS move from Hawaii to San Diego. The movers have shown up HOURS late every day, one day they didn't show up at all. They have moved extremely slow AND they didn't finish the job by the day their conctract stated. The workers themselves are nice but they have no regard for people's time or schedules. The main office here on Oahu is extremely rude and unhelpful. My husband called numerous times to try and find out where the movers were and he was told every time they would look into it and call back, which they never did. Hoping the military here will pull all contracts from Covan so others don't have to go through this.
Third day, they had two guys working, no truck to be found to load into. They said thy would be done by three, and then told my husband 9pm. When we had our walkthrough with them they said 8-5pm. This was by far the absolute worst military move we've ever encountered. I shutter to think what we'll find on the other end of all this.
Zero stars actually. They no showed the first day. The second day (they promised to show up with a full crew and "focus on our move") they showed with 3 guys and then left one guy and took the truck. They worked until 1140pm (my husband slept on a couch because beds and blankets were already packed, while I took two over tired kids to temporary lodging).
If you're assigned them through military FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ask for a reassignment
I wish I could give them negative. I saw them break my stuff as they were packing it. After saying it was like that, I explained how I saw them as they were doing it, and they broke it. I later had a QA rep visit and tell me their movers were doing literally everything wrong after 2 days of packing.
WORST movers EVER! They scheduled 3 days to pack all of our things, the first two days one person came alone and barely got one quarter of the garage done. The person showed up at 10 AM the first day but left by noon, the second day, same person came by 10:30 and again left by noon. On the last day they were scheduled to move us they showed up late because they could not get people on base. They were supposed to be there at 8 and showed up after 10 AM. They asked us to sign them in to the base. We did not do this obviously, but for them to expect this is inappropriate and unprofessional. Because they did nothing the first two days, they had the whole house to pack in less than one day. They did not finish until 2:30 AM!! It was 10 people, throwing our things in boxes, in a hurry and without care. After signing paper work and them sealing crates they were out of there at 3:00 AM. THREE IN THE MORNING! INSANE!
