Best beach we've found for toddlers as there is little to no waves as the bay is protected by rocks. Easy free parking just steps from the beach.
Best view of the beach. Very nice lagoons and clean. Good scenery. Parking is a hassle. Wish they had food trucks around. Other then that. Pack a big picnic
A good place to try your snorkel gear before ramping up to the more trying areas on the island. It is generally fairly crowded though, with many resorts nearby. The weather on this portion of the island is generally good though, so can be worth the drive.
They just added a parking indicator when you enter Koolina to tell you how many stalls is there left in each lagoon. Very nice touch! This is my to-go beach on the west side. Water is always calm. It can get murky sometimes. And there isn't much fish to see unless you swim towards the rocks.
This seems like a place someone would bring their young children to because the man-made lagoons protect the beach from any rough waves. It's also a nice place to just lounge in the sand if you are looking for that. If you want something more with better views, there are many better beaches that are close by. Also being so close to the large hotels, it feels too crowded.
